Promoted by Hetero Group, Hetero Wind power Limited was incorporated in 2010 with an objective of setting up Wind Power generation projects across India. The company aims to establish 500 MW capacity wind farms in the next 5 years. Hetero is one of India’s leading generic pharmaceutical companies and the world’s largest producer of anti-retroviral drugs.

The company aimed at an objective of setting up Wind Power generation projects across India. It aims to establish 500 MW capacity wind farms in the next 5 years. The main purpose of this project activity is to generate a clean form of electricity through renewable wind energy source. Hetero Wind Power (Pennar) Pvt. Ltd. are the promoters of the proposed project activity. The project activity involves installations of 27 wind turbines of 1.5 MW capacity at Andhra Pradesh. The total capacity of the proposed project activity is 40.5 MW. The project will replace anthropogenic emissions of greenhouse gases (GHGs) estimated to be approximately 81,514 tCO2e per year, thereon displaces 83,373 MWh/year amount of electricity from the generation-mix of power plants connected to the INDIAN Electricity grid, which is mainly dominated by thermal/fossil fuel based power plant.

2. All the projects registered are regularly audited and validated by third party organizations to ensure additionality and environmental integrity of the projects.
3. Achieving the best prices and terms for sales of carbon credits generated.

Firstly, we took the responsibility of developing Project Design Document, containing information about the project’s anticipated emission reductions, social and environmental benefits and demonstration that the projects activities exceeds “business-as-usual” reductions and avoid emission leakages.
We also took care of the third party validation and certification of the project and conducted the entire process of registeration, validation and verification with VCS. (Verified Carbon Emission)
We also offered credit trading service for the credits generated from the project, by conducting extensive market research and marketing to identify credit buyers thus helping the company begin its carbon credit sales.
